READY TO ROCK?

CLASS CHECKLISTS

Our drum classes will feature opportunities for the students to play a full drum kit. However, we will use practice pads on stands in order to simplify the cost and transportation of the equipment. We’ve included a link to our recommendation which you can purchase directly, or use as guidance for your own selection.

For those interested in a more “real” option for use at home we’ve also included a link to a full kit that is affordable and good quality for a student, though not necessary unless desired.

Guitars come in different shapes and sizes, and it can be a bit overwhelming knowing which one to pick. The first question that you have to answer is “Acoustic or Electric?”.  Does your student want to write heartfelt ballads or shred like Van Halen? Pick blue grass or start a punk rock band? Honestly, either type of guitar will work for our lessons so we’ll leave that up to you. Below are a few different recommendations based on the size and type desired.

Any Guitar Student (Acoustic Normal Size)

Our piano classes build on traditional theory and bring it to the modern day. We recommend beginning with an all-in-one portable keyboard. Our top option includes some functions that can help the student continue their growth at home but may be a little pricey depending on your circumstances.  We have also included a more affordable option to consider.

If you already own a keyboard you intend to use, we request that it be battery powered with a stand and have built in speakers as we will have no speaker system available during classes.

Our music production class is our most unique offering. Investing in recording equipment can cost 10’s of thousands of dollars, and that’s before you buy a computer. With the continued advancement of technology, we’ve seen the entry costs of music production come down significantly, but we feel it is a bit steep to require you to bring your own to class. So, for this class we simply ask that the student come with a notebook and pen, and we’ll provide the tools they need to gain hands-on experience in the world of music production.

If you have the means and feel your student is inclined and dedicated to their craft, we have included a link to a simple home recording setup where they can apply what they will be learning in class. *Please note they will also need a laptop/computer for use with this kit.
